Walkthrough [edit]
- Talk with Zooki by the start of the path to Lake Saria. He will explain he is offering a trial and has a hint, that the Hungry Trees and Iron show the way.
- Equip the Magnesis rune and activate it. You will see one of the Iron Boulders in the mouth of a nearby tree. You can find your way through the Lost Woods using these trees.
- Go to the Southwest from Zooki
- Turn to the South after that and head to the next tree with Iron in its mouth.
- Face to the right (West) after that to find the third tree with Iron which is just past the next hill rise.
- From the third tree, look to the South to find the following tree.
- Approaching the fourth tree, be on guard. As you get close you will need to watch for a Stal-Bokoblin that is waiting in ambush for you.
- Dealt with the Stal-Bokoblin and get to the tree. Turn to the South once more, looking to the right of the tree, to find the fifth tree.
- On your way to the fifth tree, you will need to watch out for 2 Chuchus that will appear out of the ground.
- Deal with them and get close to the tree.
- Look to the Northwest from that tree to find the sixth tree just behind you.
- From there, head straight to the sixth tree and right past it to reach the seventh and final tree.
- Go forward from that tree toward the large stone mound with a metal object on top of it.
- Approaching the Stone Mound will cause 3 Stal-Bokoblins to appear from the ground and attack Link.
- Defeat the Stal-Bokoblins and head past the mound to the Northwest.
- Just past the mound is a tree with a tablet and 2 braziers in front of it.
- The tablet says,"Feed me the aged shield guarded by monsters eternal My brother will repay you in kind."
- Use Magnesis to grab the Rusty Iron Shield on top of the stone mound.
- Place the Rusty Iron Shield in the mouth of the tree with the stone tablet in front of it.
- This will cause a chest to drop in a tree behind the chest in its mouth.
- Go and open this chest to claim the Amber inside it.
- Now, grab the chest with Magnesis and drop it onto the nearby raft by the pier.
- You will want either a Korok Leaf to blow the raft across the lake to the island in the middle or to use Magnesis to push the raft along.
- On the middle island, you will find another tree with a tablet and braziers in front of it. This one reads, "Please place my chest in my mouth. The shield eater's brother stole it from me."
- Take the empty chest from the raft and place it in the mouth of this tree.
- Doing this will cause Kuhn Siajj Shrine to appear to the North.
- Swim across the lake to reach the newly revealed Kuhn Siajj Shrine.

Dialogue [edit]
Zooki: A Hylian seeks to attempt the Korok Trial! Is that even allowed? Who cares! Are you here to attempt my Korok Trial?
Link: Of course.
Zooki: Oh, wow! You really want to try it?! I guess it was worth asking after all! Let me tell you about the trial. All you need to do is keep going and not get lost in the mist! Easy, right? What's wrong? You don't look very exited. But don't worry - I've got a cryptic little hint for you! "The hungry trees will show you the way. Spy their iron to win the day." Didn't I make it sound cool? Think about that as you take on the trial.
Summary [edit]
You've accepted Zooki's Korok Trial. The only hint:
"The hungry trees will show you the way. Spy their iron to win the day."
Strategy Guide/Tips [edit]
- Be mindful of the mist barriers around the path. You cannot cut through most areas within being sent back to the start of the path.
- While light on enemies, most will be waiting in ambush.
